2. The License (MIT)

Saha UI is released under the MIT License, one of the most permissive open-source licenses available. This is the heart of our open-source philosophy.

Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy of this software and associated documentation files (the "Software"), to deal in the Software without restriction, including without limitation the rights to:

  • Use the Software
  • Copy the Software
  • Modify the Software

  • Publish the Software
  • Distribute the Software
  • Sublicense the Software
  • Sell the Software

The Only Condition: The above copyright notice and this permission notice shall be included in all commercial copies or substantial portions of the Software. (e.g., if you fork the library to resell it, you must keep the original license file intact).

3. Acceptable Usage

While the library code enables you to build almost anything, the documentation website itself serves as a shared community resource. By using our website, you agree not to:

Malicious ActivityYou must not transmit any worms, viruses, or code of a destructive nature, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our demo servers or analytics dashboard. You must not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network.
Abusive ScrapingYou must not overburden our API limits via excessive automated scraping, "spiders", or Denial of Service (DoS) attacks. Reasonable indexing (like GoogleBot) is permitted.

4. User Accounts

Saha UI is currently a static documentation site and library. We do not require you to create an account to access our documentation or download our package.

However, interaction with our community happens via GitHub. When commenting on Issues or Pull Requests, you are subject to GitHub's Terms of Service. We are not responsible for any moderation actions taken by GitHub Inc. against your account.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding content provided by you or other users), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Saha UI and its licensors.

  • The "Saha UI" name and logo are trademarks of the project maintainers.
  • The content, layout, design, data, databases and graphics on this website are protected by intellectual property laws.
  • You may not use our trademarks in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of Saha UI.

6. Disclaimer of Warranty

This software is provided for free. As such, we cannot provide the same warranties that paid commercial software might offer. We want to be very clear about this:

"THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED 'AS IS', WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM."

This means if Saha UI has a bug that causes your website to look slightly wrong in Internet Explorer 9, or if a component update breaks your build, we are not legally responsible for fixing it (though we try our best as good open source citizens).

7. Limitations of Liability

In no event shall Saha UI, its maintainers, or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on Saha UI's website or library, even if Saha UI or a Saha UI authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage.

Because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties, or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, these limitations may not apply to you. In such cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law (often $0.00 for free software).

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Saha UI and its licensee and licensors, and their employees, contractors, agents, officers, and directors, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees), resulting from or arising out of a) your use and access of the Service, or b) a breach of these Terms.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material we will try to provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using the Service.

10. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Global Open Source Standards and traditional Internet norms. You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in your local jurisdiction should any dispute arise that cannot be resolved via standard open-source dispute resolution (e.g., GitHub Issues).
